1st Adriatic-Ionian Intercultural Dialogue Conference Corfu, Greece, 27-28 June 2008 · Conference Location The conference will be held in Corfu, Greece, an island famous for its nature and sandy beaches as well as for its civilization (the old town of Corfu – Kerkyra in Greek, is since 2007 in the UNESCO list of World Cultural heritage Monuments). The conference will take place in the new building of the Ionian University in the city centre. · Language The official languages of the conference are Greek, Italian, English. Slovenian (EU presidency country) will be used for plenaries and English for parallel workshops. · Transport & Hotel Accomodation
Transport Corfu (Kerkyra) can be reached at the end of June either by direct charter flights from numerous European airports (please get information for your country), by regular flights via Athens (min 4 times daily) and Thessaloniki (min 3-ice weekly), by hydroplanes daily from Patras and other places, and by ferry boats from Italy (Venice, Bari, Brindisi, Ancona) and from mainland Greece (Patras, Igoumenitsa).
